Moving around with help of sighted guide is one of three ways for moving around of blind persons. Other two ways are moving around independently with white cane and moving around with guide dog.

Blind person and sighted guide often are not informed about fundamental regulations for moving around. Each wrong step could cause injuries. When sighted guide thrust blind person, he or she think that is the best for them.

In order to avoid negative consequences, management of the Association decided to organize educational training with the topic of moving around with sighted guide. The training consisted of theoretical and practice elements. Participants were mainly blind persons who will inform their guides how to gide blind persons.

Due to nature of their disability, fundamental regulations were demonstrated them on individual bases.

This activity was realized with help of Tuzla City within the project „From developing daily skills to social inclusion of blind persons“. Trainers were PHD Amela Teskeredzic and PHD Hurma Begic, professors on the Faculty for education and rehabilitation in Tuzla.

Training is important step in this area. Activity will be continued after the project.
