The Association of visually impaired citizens of Tuzla organizet workshops with the topic of acceptance of blindness, recognition of the money and dressing within the project „By development of daily skills to social inclusion of blind persons“, funded by Tuzla City. Workshops were led by activists. Each of above mentioned topics is equally important in order to empower blind persons for higher level of independence. Such activities enable exchanging experience which is particulary important for new members.

Participants of workshops acceptance blindnes were persons who lost sight recently, as well as persons who learned to live with blindness. This is the process which last long time. Family can hinder or alliviate the process. Many never accept their blindness.

Application for money recognition on smart phones is useless during buying because of crowded shops. So it is important to learn how to recognize papir and metal banknotes. You often can not ask someone which banknote is in your hand.

About ten blind persons expressed readiness to learn this skill.

„I recognized metal banknotes by size and texture. I did not pay attention to edge. Some are rough and others smooth. This element can alliviate metal banknotes recognition“.

Majority of blind persons recognize papir banknotes by size. Mistakes ar possible if you do not pay attention. Puting banknouts in different compartments in the wallet could be helpful.

Many blind persons don't know how to combine colours of clothes. Sighted persons from their environment are not informed about this problem. It happened that group of young girls mocking blind peer because of her combination multicolor and multicolor. Such situations could be avoided by learning about appropriate dressing combinations.
